Leila Moosavi is an Iranian artist and researcher currently pursuing a PhD in Art at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland. Her work critically investigates the mechanisms of brainwashing, manipulation, and propaganda used by totalitarian regimes. Through her research and artistic practice, she explores how art can serve as a powerful tool to expose and resist these methods, aiming to educate audiences about the subtle and overt ways in which systems influence public perception.
Leila’s artistic journey began in childhood with painting and drawing. She later studied Graphic Design in high school and university, which helped refine her understanding of composition, color, and visual communication.
In 2018, she moved to Poznań, Poland to pursue a Master’s degree in Painting at the University of the Arts. Two years later, she transferred to Wrocław to begin a new Master’s program in Glass Artistry, where she further expanded her skills and artistic language.
Her current work blends traditional Persian lithography with contemporary materials and concepts, creating visually rich pieces that invite viewers to question narratives and uncover hidden meanings. Leila’s art maintains a poetic and symbolic approach while directly confronting complex socio-political realities. She continues to develop projects that bridge visual storytelling and critical thought, using her platform to challenge systems of control and advocate for awareness through creativity.
